If we agree on an article for you to write we will send a link to you to the Google Drive document for you to write your article in and inform you which issue the article will be written for. This document has all of the relevant information in its header including the agreed upon prompt to help you write the article and keep everyone on the same page for each article.
The due date for collaboration articles are:
- Spring Issue - Feb 15th
- Summer Issue - May 15th
- Fall Issue - Aug 15th
- Winter Issue - Nov 15th
Please email/message the Chief Editor when an article is ready for review in order to submit the article.
The dates above are when the first drafts are due for the editor staff to review by issue. The editor staff may return your article for further revisions after the dates above.
After an article has been submitted and accepted, watch for it in the next issue.
Contributor Guidelines
Topics: As a travel magazine, please keep the topics related to Nagano prefecture or Japanese culture in relation to Nagano. Topics deemed too unrelated to living and traveling in Nagano will be denied.
Length: Articles need to be a minimum of 500 words but ideally closer to 1200-1500 words. Articles that are too short may be cut completely. If you want to write a longer piece, however, we will publish the extended article online where applicable and edit it down for the print publication.
Referencing: Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you use source material to write your article please provide the reference information including in person references. This both helps to prevent plagiarism and helps to provide additional resources to our readers. Thank you for your understanding.
